Shadow

Project Outline:

The Shadow programme was a UOR (Urgent Operational Requirement) for MoD. CAe was a supply partner with Raytheon Aircraft Services; CAe was responsible for a major element of the engineering required for the aircraft modifications.

Project Description:

CAe personnel from its approved Design organisation became a integral part of the team led by Raytheon with a number of key personnel holding key positions in the Raytheon organisation for the purpose of approving the required structural modifications for the aircraft. CAe was responsible for undertaking the structural loads analysis for the major modifications, specific adaptations to the baseline aircraft, a King Air 350, its weight and balance reports, icing predictions, flight performance determination and the clearance of the modifications through the civil certification process. CAe continues to provide support to the programme as and when required for the continuing fleet of operational aircraft.
