Project Outline:

Using its wide range of approvals, CAe has created its own special purpose aircraft by converting a Cessna 421c into a special airborne platform, capable of specialist flight trials for military purposes and provision of bespoke flight services to a wide range of military and civil customers.

Project Description:

The project involved the acquisition of a used Cessna 421c, which was stripped and then re-built as a special purpose platform; CAe utilised its EASA Part 21 approvals, along with its Part 145 and Part M to create a special air vehicle now used and available for a wide range of military flight trials, as well as a special services aircraft. The aircraft is flown either under the company’s Part 21 DOA approval or under its partner DO Systems AOC, as required, depending on the customer’s particular needs and requirements.
