Following the collapse of Highland Airways in March 2010 Cranfield Aerospace were awarded a contract to recover four Jetstream 31 aircraft located at Inverness Airport.

Working closely with the administrator and to a very tight timescale during October 2010 three aircraft were removed from storage and all essential maintenance carried out before being ferried to Cranfield Airport. The fourth aircraft which had just commenced a deep maintenance check at the time of the collapse was completed in just over one month before ferrying.

Cranfield Aerospace are currently in discussions with the administrator and current owners regarding storage and longer term maintenance.
